I was very surprised when I was driving through Mansfield the other day and saw a sign for Cibo Matto Cafe. What?! According to their website, "Cibo Matto pronounced, (chi-bo / mah-toe ) translates to (crazy food)." Naively, I never knew this was the meaning of Cibo Matto. But I guess it makes sense because a lot of the songs have references to food (Know Your Chicken, Sugar Water, Artichoke, The Candy Man, Apple, Beef Jerky, White Pepper Ice Cream, Sci-fi Wasabi and my favorite, Birthday Cake. I wonder if the owners are fans of this great, great band?

I used to have that album! I read that the name loosely translates to "food madness" which I thought was hilarious. I have lost so many cool albums over the years. SIgh.
