More Courtney Controversy

So, there is obviously a lot of controversy over Courtney Love's recent gigs, since she is using the name Hole, with no other former members present. However, The Guardian gave Courtney a surprisingly good review for her recent show.  Wanna know what Courtney's been  up to? Well she addressed the Oxford Union, and recently had an exchange of words with Lily Allen at the NME awards. Here is Mr. True's take on defending the indefensible

Below is a video from February 11th, of a new song, Samantha, from the Jonathan Ross show.  Hmmm... I wonder what Nobody's Daughter will sound like.  And I'm curious, what do you think of all this...?

  1. All i know is that i am giddy like a school grrrl that she is performing new stuff under any circumstances..No disrespect to anyone else in the band but for me it has always been "the Courtney Love show".. And i think the stuff i have heard and have been hearing about the new album is in no way pointing to a let down... All hail.. Nuff Said..

  2. I may be in the minority here, but I like it! I think she's still very much relevant and I think some of the attacks against her are unfair.

Other bands who change "founding members" but keep name without all this flak: Smashing Pumpkins, Alice in Chains, Nine Inch Nails (Trent toured with a different band almost every time). There are several more but I can't recall them at the moment. I know I thought of at least eight the other night when I was talking about this with a friend.

  3. I think the comeback will be as good as it's been predicted to be.

Everyone I know who went to the shepherds bush gig said it was amazing.

I don't really care about the use of the name Hole as much as other people seem to. As cassie said it has always been the courtney show anyway.
